About the Movie
Dave Kilroy has reached a crossroads in his life. A sales rep for a pre-IPO software firm, he is deeply affected by the sudden death of a co-worker who landed the job Dave coveted. Now the job is Dave's by default, but he has come to realize that he wants more out of life - a chance to make his mark on the world before suffering the same fate as his predecessor. In order to pursue his dream, however, he will first need to hit his revenue number for the quarter.
Dogged by a tyrannical Sales VP, hampered by the poor sales performance of his boorish best friend, and wracked with guilt over missed moments with his two sons, he struggles to make his sales quarter and achieve his dream. Along the way, he discovers what "making your mark" on the world really means.
Set during the turn-of-the century IPO frenzy, "Kilroy was Here" examines American work culture and attitudes toward family. It is the story of every man's struggle to balance work and life, obligation and yearning.
